Изучить возможности ультразвукового метода для оценки мышечной массы и ранней диагностики саркопении у пациентов молодого и среднего возраста с артериальной гипертензией (АГ) и неалкогольной жировой болезнью печени (НАЖБП).</p></sec><sec><title>Материалы и методы</title><p>Материалы и методы. Проведено поперечное (сравнительное), одноцентровое исследование, включавшее 92 пациента обоего пола с АГ I–II степени и НАЖБП в возрасте от 31 до 59 лет, средний возраст на момент включения в исследование составил 47,9 ± 8,21 лет. Мышечная масса определялась 3 способами: 1 – антропометрическими методами с помощью измерения окружности мышц плеча и окружности голени, 2 – ультразвуковой визуализацией мышечной ткани бедра, 3 – двухэнергетической рентгеновской абсорбциометрией (ДРА) с определением мышечных индексов. Статистический анализ полученных данных осуществлялся с помощью пакета статистической программы SPSS 27.0 (IBM, USA). Полученные данные интерпретировали как достоверные, а различия между показателями считали значимыми при p &lt; 0,05.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Антропометрические методы оценки мышечной ткани не выявили значимых различий между исследуемыми группами. Определение мышечной массы с помощью ультразвукового метода у пациентов с АГ и НАЖБП продемонстрировало снижение размеров мышц, а также увеличение толщины подкожного жира у пациентов с саркопенией. Установлены многочисленные корреляционные связи между увеличением жировой массы и уменьшением мышечной массы.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. В отличие от антропометрических методов исследования, верификация снижения мышечной массы у пациентов с АГ и НАЖБП с помощью ультразвуковой визуализации мышц бедра может быть использована в качестве альтернативы ДРА для выявления саркопении на ранних стадиях ее развития.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Objective</title><p>Objective. To study the advantages of assessing muscle mass using ultrasound for diagnosing sarcopenia in young and middle-aged patients with arterial hypertension (AH) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).</p></sec><sec><title>Materials and methods</title><p>Materials and methods. A cross-sectional (comparative), single-center study was conducted, including 92 patients of both sexes with AH grade I–II and NAFLD aged 31 to 59 years, the average age at inclusion was 47.9 ± 8.21 years. Muscle mass was determined in 3 ways: 1 – anthropometric methods by measuring the circumference of the shoulder muscles and calf circumference, 2 – ultrasound visualization of the thigh muscle tissue, 3 – dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) with the determination of muscle indices. Statistical analysis of the obtained data was performed using the SPSS 27.0 statistical software package (IBM, USA). The obtained data were interpreted as reliable, and the differences between the indicators were considered significant at p &lt; 0.05.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. Anthropometric methods for assessing muscle tissue did not reveal significant differences between the study groups. Determination of muscle mass using the ultrasound method in patients with AH and NAFLD demonstrated a decrease in muscle size, as well as an increase in the thickness of subcutaneous fat in patients with sarcopenia. Numerous correlations were established between an increase in fat mass and a decrease in muscle mass.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
